Hey blog followers, well this week has been just as manic as last!

I completed my spring clean and managed to find a home for all of my new business kit, which is great as it now means that I have my house back! It also makes it a better enviornment for clients if they wish to be treated in my home. This is always a possibility so if you would prefer this let me know!

Thursday saw me back at Kent Beauty Academy in Ashford with my willing model Nic to undertake day 2 of my Level 2 Make Up NVQ. I handed in my case studies and anatomy and physiology homework and I have to say I was rather proud of myself, and got good comments on all areas (thank you willing models!). Day 2 is all about fun with colour so we adapted many smokey eye looks for day and evening and then went on to look at 60’s styles. I was taught on a 1:1 basis by the lovely Nichola Allen, MUA who is absolutely fab! She gave me lots of tips about styles, products and equipment, and I now feel ready for my final assessment and to start working freelance! Go me!!

Now the 5th May has been in the diary for a long time, and is known to me as ‘photoshoot day’. When designing the website, I struggled to find stock images that I liked, and thought it would be more professional for me to have my own images, so I enlisted the help of a very talented photographer Louise from LS Photographics!/profile.php?id=100001095993114 who came to my house complete with backdrop, lighting and lenses to capture some fantastic shots for me. I am lucky enough to have beautiful friends and family, so was able to get 2 willing models for the day, Faye my sister and friend Sophia Adams Both girls had make up done for different occasions and had their toes and nails painted. It was good fun and we managed to capture 145 images. I am like a child in a sweet shop, I am literally bursting at the seams to go and sit with Louise and go through them, once she has undertaken the task of editing them all. This means that I can update the site and FINALLY get all of my literature printed advertising the fantastic service that Flame Beauty can provide. So watch this space!……………
