Everyone seems to be blogging these days so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and see what it’s all about. There is a method to my madness however, and that is to introduce you to my new venture, Flame Beauty!
Having recently been made redundant from my financial job in London’s West End, I decided to take the plunge and embark upon the unknown, a career in the Beauty sector. I have had an interest in all things pampering and cosmetics for many years, with my Mother a qualified therapist back in the 1990’s, and my sector specialism in Fashion and Beauty in my previous job whetting my appetite.
This led me to the London College of Beauty Therapy last July to learn my first trade, the art of Threading. I thoroughly enjoyed the course, doing something practical instead of sitting behind a desk, and actually seeing results of my work. Once qualified, I started to undertake the treatment on family and friends and soon learnt that I could earn a decent second wage from it.
When I found out that my job was at risk last December I started to think about what I could do if the enevitable happened, and this lead me to investigating more courses, and deciding to seize the opportunity.
And so Flame Beauty was born, Flame being made up of initials of my family members and a brainwave by my step mum. I provide treatments within a 20 mile radius of my home address, in the comfort of the clients own home. I am constantly adding new treatments to my website www.flamebeauty.co.uk to give my clients the full pampering package.
