So, being in the beauty industry I am surrounded by products, and am often told that I should have shares in Boots due to the obscene amount of goodies that I have.  Having said that, these are the things that I absolutely cannot live without and would defiantly be on my desert island list.

1. Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

First up is this cult classic, which my mum got me using at the grand age of 16 (yes, even I can’t believe that’s HALF MY LIFE AGO!), and I truly can’t thank her enough.  I quite often pass for 25-27 so it must work! It’s fantastic for getting rid of any traces of makeup and really feeling like you are giving yourself a facial.  Must be used with the hot cloth for best results, and the best thing is it’s all natural and not tested on animals!  You can buy this here

2. Steamcream

Many moons ago I was in banking and at one stage fashion and cosmetics specialist for London, where I was lucky enough to attend Cosmetic Executive Women events whereby I was introduced to this fantastic product.  It’s a good quality moisturiser infused with steam, so feels lightweight but has the properties of its weightier counterparts.  The best thing is that you can also collect the tins as they come in different designs and can be used afterwards.  Such good value for money too! Available to buy here.

3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz

An amazing brow pencil which uses mechanical technology meaning that it is precise to apply and the strokes replica the those of real brow hairs, so it’s hard to go overboard! A must have in any makeup bag in my opinion!

4. Vaseline

What can I say here except I always have a tin of this in my handbag, car, bedroom, and I use it for chapped and dry lips at least 3 times a day! My personal favourite is the rose tinted variety.

5. Tangle Teezer

I have been growing my hair out from a graduated bob since 2012 and don’t think I have done badly considering my hair is now way past my shoulders.  I haven’t had long hair since I was about 18 so had forgotten about how frizzy and lioness mane like my hair is! Getting a brush through it without ripping half of it out or giving myself neck ache is a chore.  The tangle Teezer is the only thing that works for me, I have two of them, one for use in wet hair which is amazing and one standard one just to try and tame my locks.  I recommend for all hair types and lengths.

6. MAC Lipsticks

(Just a small selection of my insane MAC lipstick collection!)

I just love the smell, and the pigment, and the longevity of all lipsticks I have ever owned or used by MAC.  My personal current favourites are Lady Danger, Ravishing, Faux, Russian Red, Morange…. And my staple shades for my working kit are Fanfare, Angel, Patisserie, Twig….. I have tried so many other brands and always fall back to MAC so must be for a reason!

7. MAC Blot Powder

By far the best powder I have ever used, it really keeps shine at bay and makes my makeup stay in place looking flawless all day.  I use shade medium on myself, and find that it suits most skin tones as lifts the skin.  It’s available to buy from MAC here.

8. Concealer

I have tried and tested so many concealers over the years and can honestly say I haven’t found one that has wowed me yet.  This is an absolute must for me, as I am unlucky enough  to have olive skin dark circles under my eyes so have to use a tin every day to look kind of human! At the moment my concealer of choice is Illamasqua Skin Base Lift, check it out here.

9. Blusher

I like a red/pink toned blusher in the winter months and a nice peach/orange share in the summer, either way I always wear it and lots of it! In fact, I always layer it by using a cream blusher first followed by a powder blush to make sure it stays in place all day! I have lots of brands but those I use frequently are by NARS, Illamasqua, Bobbi Brown, Benefit and MAC.

10. My Cloud 9 Hair Straightners

I have had these for around 5 years and was about to invest all of my hard earned pennies in to a new pair of GHDs when a friend of mine who worked for Wella told me about the new kid on the block, Cloud 9. From the makers of GHD these were new technology back then, with heat control and everything! Still going strong 5 years later and look brand new, can’t fault these when trying to tame my curly hair which seems to get waiver with each passing year.
So that’s my round up, I would love to hear what your must have or can’t live without items are.  Please feel free to comment on the post below, I may even feature them!
